Donna Grace (Michael) Geisler went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, Donna would have turned 86 on April 30th., Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4th at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. First St., Ankeny, IA 50023) with burial to follow at the Union Cemetery (Polk City, Iowa). Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd at the Ankeny Funeral Home.

Donna Grace (Michael) Geisler went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, Donna would have turned 86 on April 30th., Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4th at the Ankeny Funeral Home (1510 W. Donna was born April 30, 1929 to James Harrison and Clara Ola Burt. Donna graduated from Polk City high School in 1947. After graduation Donna attended Trinity Bible College in Chicago for two years. On July 21st 1950 Donna married Daniel Junior (Mick) Michael. To this union were born three children; Debra, Dianne and David. In 1963 Mick was killed in a tragic farm accident. After living on the farm for another year and a half Donna moved her family to a new home in Polk City. She became a working woman when she took a job as a receptionist at the production plant of Hy-Line Poultry Farms in Johnston. On August 1st 1969 Donna married Junior Lou (Tyke) Geisler and moved to Tyke's farm near Bondurant.

Donna was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Polk City and very active in the work of the church and served on many committees. Donna also enjoyed making quilts for her grandchildren. In 1993 Donna and Tyke moved from the farm to Maplewood Village in Ankeny. At the Village Donna enjoyed the walking path and swimming pool. She instructed a group of ladies in water aerobics. Tyke passed away in May of 2001. When Donna's health began to deteriorate she moved to Vintage hills at Prairie Trail in 2012. Donna remained there until she went to the hospital on Sunday March 22nd 2015. She then transferred to Mercy Hospice in Johnston on Wednesday, March 25th.

Donna is survived by her Children; Debra (Jon) Stokka of Polk City, Dianne Pittman (Greg Sexton) of Fremont, Calif., David (Laurie) Michael of Denton, TX., Stepchildren; Karla (John) Knapp of Ankeny and Darrell (Malinda) Geisler of Bondurant, five Grandchildren and three Great-Grandchildren, Brothers; Gene (Erma) of Ankeny, Glenn (Kathy) of Polk City, Jack (Audrey) of Polk City and Roger (Sharon) of Polk City, Sisters; Sue Burt of Polk City and Barbara Carlson of Johnston, Sister-in-law; Lois Burt of Urbandale and many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; brothers; Paul and Don Burt, Sisters; Pauline Bowersox and Ellen Johnson.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to Lakeside fellowship in Polk City, or Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
